Milestones and Operations
2014: Establishment of ACO Egypt
ACO Group launched its first subsidiary, ACO Egypt, amidst Egypt’s renewable energy expansion. ACO Egypt quickly became the country’s largest supplier of solar components, capturing over 70% market share and building an impressive portfolio with more than 1.2 GW of installed solar power and 400 MW of wind turbines, making a substantial impact on Egypt’s energy infrastructure.
2019: Expansion into Sudan
ACO Group expanded into Sudan with ACO Sudan, establishing a dedicated EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) department. ACO Sudan is recognized for delivering turnkey solar power solutions, contributing to energy access in Sudan with installations exceeding 30 MW of solar power.
2023: Growth into Nigeria and Uganda
ACO Group continued its expansion into West and East Africa by establishing ACO Nigeria and ACO Uganda, bringing comprehensive renewable energy solutions to new markets. In its first full year in Nigeria, ACO supplied 20 MW of combined solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), supporting Nigeria’s clean energy transition.
