ACO International is a Renewable Energy Group of companies established in 2014 to empower lives through sustainable energy solutions.

The company kicked off in 2014 in Egypt through its subsidiary, ACO Egypt, at the start of the country’s renewable energy boom with the need to counter the electricity deficit in Egypt and to find effective and affordable power solutions.

ACO Egypt became the largest supplier of solar components in the country, with over 70% of the market share with a reference list of over 800 MW PV and 400 MW wind turbines, contributing towards the nation’s power production capacity.

In 2019, the company opened offices in neighboring Sudan and added an EPC department to ACO Sudan operations. 

Between 2019 and 2023, the company supplied over 50 MW PV and carried out turn key installations, exceeding 20 MW which included flagship projects such as a 5.5 MW Solar plant with battery storage for a mining company, a 3.8 MW solar solution for a large agricultural project, a 2 MW rooftop installation for a large beverage producer, and a 600 KW carport for a public sector entity.

2023 was a big year for the company, as it introduced both ACO Nigeria and ACO Uganda to allow the company to expand its reach to West and East Africa, with the introduction of new development departments to accompany the groups Retail, EPC and After Sales Service departments which have transformed the company to now have the ability to provide full services within the renewable energy sector.
